THE SWEETEST SYMPHONY
OF THE NATURE
SWAPAN KUMAR RAKSHIT
The natural
environment sings the sweetest symphony with a smile,
Because she knows her treasures as a
mother knows her daughter.
I don’t know for how many years she
would keep such a low profile,
If we consume her shamelessly or if
we want her immediate slaughter.
The misty meadow whispers sweetly to
all of her sprouting seeds,
Because she knows that her sweetness
would come back like return gift.
But how long she would incarnate
herself, if our growing needs—
Explode or ascend uncontrollably just
to destroy or to dwindle it?
At the peaceful night, the crescent
moon lulls everyone to sleep.
The darkest night lullabies with a
promise to offer a brand new day.
But how long the moon would appear at
night with recuperated trip—
If the sweetest marvel of moonbeam is
employed only to roll on hay?
Perhaps, we have forgotten to sing
the chorus of the grand matrix –
That has been sustaining our lives
for long; as all of us are in a fix.
